Charities launched through Ambitious Impact are tackling major global challenges at scale.
Family Empowerment Media
has reached more than ~20 million people through evidence-based radio programming to help women and families make informed reproductive choices.
Shrimp Welfare Project
improves the lives of >6 billion farmed shrimps a year through 36 stunner agreements with producers in 9 countries.
Fortify Health

Backed by leading funders
Since 2019, charities launched through Ambitious Impact have raised over $107 million to address neglected problems around the world.
…and deploying resources efficiently
Raising funding is one thing. Using it well is another.
Many of our charities have been independently recognised for their cost-effectiveness by leading evaluators and grantmakers.
..one of the world's leading charity evaluators, has awarded grants to 13 charities launched through Ambitious Impact.
..has previously recommended Fish Welfare Initiative (whose Alliance for Responsible Aquaculture improves the lives of an estimated 11 farmed fish per dollar) and Shrimp Welfare Project (providing electrical stunning to thousands of shrimp per dollar).
..estimates that LEEP prevents a child's lead exposure for just $1.66.

Protecting children from the dangers of lead exposure
LEEP works with governments to eliminate lead paint, helping countries introduce and strengthen regulations that protect children from lead poisoning.
In its first year, LEEP convinced Malawi to enforce its lead paint regulations for the first time. Since then, 7 countries have adopted lead paint regulations with their support.
Today, LEEP runs programs across 40+ countries (opens in a new tab) in Africa, Asia and Latin America, at an estimated cost of just $1.66 per child protected.
This progress is expected to protect tens of millions of children from lead exposure over the coming decades.

Strengthening animal welfare through policy change
Animal Policy International works with governments across the EU, UK and New Zealand to close gaps between domestic animal welfare standards and imported animal products.
Their work aims to prevent cruel farming practices from being outsourced overseas, helping ensure that higher welfare standards apply to products regardless of where they are produced.
Founded by Rainer and Mandy, who bring experience from the alternative protein sector and over a decade of animal welfare campaigning.

Helping premature babies survive through better newborn care
Ansh helps hospitals provide evidence-based skin-to-skin care between caregivers and premature and low birth-weight babies, an approach that can significantly improve survival.
Founded by Supriya Bansal in her home state of Rajasthan, Ansh has scaled across 15 hospitals, providing care for a projected 18,000 premature babies in 2026, expected to save many hundreds of lives.
Ansh has received $7M in grants from GiveWell to support its work.

Building a better future for one of the world’s most farmed animals
Shrimp Welfare Project works to improve the welfare of the 440+ billion shrimps farmed each year, typically with minimal care and no safeguards for their welfare.
The organization has both put this neglected issue on the map, and developed innovative scalable ways to help, like their Humane Slaughter Initiative which reaches >6 billion animals each year.
Founded by Andres and Aaron, who brought backgrounds in finance and entrepreneurship, Shrimp Welfare Project is helping build the field of shrimp welfare.

Treating severe acute malnutrition in children
Taimaka provides treatment for children with severe acute malnutrition in northern Nigeria, while developing more effective ways to deliver care at lower cost.
Founded by Umar, a doctor from the region where Taimaka operates, and Justin, who previously studied toward a career in diplomacy and foreign service, the organization combines medical expertise with local knowledge.
Taimaka has received more than $5M in grants from GiveWell to support its work, which it deploys efficiently – treating acute malnutrition for just $105 per child.

Making effective giving for farmed animals easier
Many people care about farmed animal welfare but don’t realize how much power they have to help them through small donations to highly effective charities working to transform factory farming.
FarmKind bridges this gap with their donation platform that connects donors with field-leading organizations and makes donating feel as powerful as it is.
Founded by people with backgrounds in management consulting and law, FarmKind has attracted thousands of donors and raised almost $4M for its recommended charities.
